Mahindra Treo Plus in Matheran hill station

 

On my visit to the scenic hill station of Matheran in Maharashtra, I noticed a few Mahindra Treo Plus electric auto rickshaws ferrying passengers between Dasturi and Matheran Station, a stretch of about 2.5 km. Each rickshaw was carrying the driver along with three passengers effortlessly.

To promote a pollution-free environment in line with government directives, the Treo Plus has been introduced for the convenience of passengers. It is powered by a 10.24 kWh battery, offers a real-world range of about 150 km (as per Mahindra), and produces an impressive 42 Nm of torque.
